Muckross House Kerry Cattle, Ireland 4x4 Oil

A few years back I had the good fortune to visit Ireland. We stayed in Cork and I took several bus tours to visit the Emerald Isle. For those of you who have never had the pleasure to vacation here I can tell you it is well worth the trip. Plus, all those stories about there being a million different colours of green are in reality Underestimated! As an artist, trying to take in the multiple hues of green can numb your mind and unless you were actually there someone would see your interpretation of an Irish landscape and accuse you of using too much artistic license!

Todays little gem is based on a photo from Muckross House in the famous Killarney National Park. It is a historic home where royalty would stay and grazing upon the grounds are the Irish Kerry Cattle. They are so black it defys description and with the multitude of greens behind them as a backdrop the whole scene was absolutely stunning!

Have a great day!
